Contrat par lequel on donne à quelqu’un la jouissance d’une chose, moyennant un prix convenu et pour un temps déterminé.

Dans le langage ordinaire, il se dit principalement en parlant des Propriétés rurales et des maisons. Bail à ferme. Des baux à ferme. Bail à loyer. Bail de maison. Bail à cheptel. Bail de trois, six ou neuf ans. Bail à vie. Bail à long terme. Bail emphytéotique. Bail conventionnel. Bail sous seing privé. La durée, la fin d’un bail. Faire, passer un bail. Consentir un bail. Rompre, résilier un bail. Entretenir son bail, Remplir les obligations que le bail impose. Se tenir à son bail. Renouveler un bail. Faire rapporter les baux précédents.
